Fountains at Lawrence Plaza Open this Weekend

With summer quickly approaching,Bentonville Parks and Recreation is proud to announce the opening of the Fountains at Lawrence Plaza. The interactive splash pad opens Saturday, May 11 at 9:00am.

The Fountains at Lawrence Plaza operates seven days per week, from 9:00am until 10:00pm. The facility remains open until Sunday, September ­­15, except for the first Friday of each month when the splash park closes at 4:00pm for Bentonville Parks and Recreation’s First Friday Flick events. These events begin at 8:00pm, immediately following Downtown Bentonville Inc.’s First Fridays on the Downtown Square.

The multi-use facility features more than 80 water jets that comprise the Fountains. The Fountains are popular with people of all age. If you are not interested in getting wet, Lawrence Plaza has three shaded picnic tables, several benches, a turf area and beautiful landscaping. Restrooms are also available. There is no fee for use of Lawrence Plaza.

Parking for Lawrence Plaza is on NE A and NE 3rd Street, with additional public parking lot at Main Street. Overflow parking can be found at Compton Gardens, 21C Hotel public parking deck and multiple municipal parking lots throughout Downtown Bentonville.
