Forbes Magazine's annual list of the top 200 best metro areas for doing business placed Northwest Arkansas in its Top 10 of major metropolitan. ranked Northwest Arkansas as the best low cost area in the nation in which to live and work, saying that "access to culture and the beauty of the surrounding mountains and lakes has helped land [NWA] the title of one of America's Most Livable Cities."

Inc. Magazine ranked Northwest Arkansas as the 13th (out of 393 areas surveyed) best metropolitan area overall for doing business.

• The Milken Institute also placed Northwest Arkansas in their Top 10 “Best Performing Large Metros” list for the third time.

The Wall Street Journal described Bentonville as an “A-list city for business travel since the late 1990s” in a “Destinations” article. The article also profiled the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Pinnacle Hills development in Rogers.

Money Magazine listed Bella Vista as one the Top 25 best places to retire ranking at No. 12.

• In 2010 and 2011 CNN/Money ranked NWA 10th on their annual Best Places to Live list under the category of small cities for families.

CNN/Money ranked Benton County 15th on the 2010 list for counties that have experienced the most job growth over the last nine years.

• NWA was ranked 10th on the 2011 Most Livable Bargain Markets list published by MSN Real Estate & Bert Sperling of Sperlings Best Place.

CNN/Money ranked the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, AR MSA as the 13th best metro area for small business start-ups.
